







Bio
Chris Collings is a trial lawyer who defends companies primarily in product liability, toxic tort, and mass tort actions, as well as in complex commercial disputes and class actions. Chris’ experience spans product-related and business litigation in state and federal courts for clients in a variety of industries, including power generation and distribution, aviation, construction, automotive, medical device, food and nutritional supplements. He has defended personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits involving allegations of exposure to asbestos, talc, silica, and chemicals throughout the state of Florida. Chris has also defended manufacturers of appliances, automobiles, and industrial equipment against single plaintiff claims of personal injury and property damage resulting from the design and performance of their products. His class action work involves representing businesses facing allegations of product mislabeling, deceptive trade practices, and property damage. Chris has extensive experience representing individuals and companies in business disputes involving allegations of breach of contract, consumer fraud, deceptive and unfair trade practices, and a variety of business torts.
Chris’ skill as a trial lawyer is built on a foundation of his past work as an assistant state attorney in the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted Florida’s most violent repeat offenders as a lead prosecutor in the Career Criminal/Robbery Unit. In this role, Chris tried many cases to verdict and obtained felony convictions for some of the most serious criminal offenses, including armed robbery, burglary, and first-degree murder.
